A cover up poncho style cape for winter warmth

Shorter in the front with a step hem to the back, choose from 4 neck options: a standard height roll neck or high roll; or a cowl neck/funnel neck option with regular or extra deep cowl

A very easy wearing fit; the chunky hem with mitre corner details gives a dramatic look to skinny jeans or leggings.

Description

An easy wearing cape cover up for the cooler days. Designed for drama and a billow effect. The sleeves are sewn so the step hem effect stays in place.

- Suitable for the main fabric to be either Knit or Woven (neckline for A & B must be a knit - rib knits recommended. View C & D Cowl Neck can be cut in a standard knit)

- Roll neck option in 2 heights (standard - View A or extra high - View B)

- Cowl neck funnel option in 2 heights (regular - View C or deep - View D).

- Higher front length sits between waist and hip with the cape dropping to a low back - stepped hem - for extra impact.

- Chunky hemline feature with mitred corners

Garment shown in pictures (Grey) is the shorter front with option A (standard) roll neck collar.

Black is the shorter front cape sewn in polyester chiffon with option B (extra high) roll neck collar

Blue is the Funnel/Cowl collar - deep (option D)

Fit Information:

The pattern is a multi-size pattern to fit the size range of XXS-3XL

It is designed for an oversize, relaxed fit

Fabric:

The garment was designed for woven fabrics but may also be sewn in winter or trans-seasonal stable knits.

The collar must be sewn in a knit fabric with excellent stretch - rib knits are recommended.

For best results please choose stable knits with good recovery.

Suggested Fabrics for the body are

- Wovens: Polyester Chiffon, Jacket weight woollens or acrylic

- Knit Fabrics: Ponte, Double knits, Mid-Heavy weight Merino, Jacquard blends, more suggestions are in the "More Information" Tab

This is a professionally drafted fashion industry construction pattern, which I have made and graded to industry standard guidelines.

Available for purchase is a digital download, a pdf file able to be immediately printed to your home printer. Download the pattern after payment. Once purchased, the pattern will be in your account forever, and you can download it as many times as you want. Due to the nature of the product there are no refunds.

It is printable in both "No Trim Layered" US letter and A4 sizes. Also available as a "Trim" File - the pages are very easy to assemble, simply match the letters and numbers of the grid and tape or stick glue into position before cutting out. An A0 Size CopyShop Print File is also included

Please ensure before you print that your printer settings are set to "DO NOT SCALE" (Print actual size)

Please print the page with the test square as a single print job before you send the full pdf document to the printer, with your printer settings on "do not scale". This will print a test size square which you can measure to ensure the pattern will print to the correct size. There is a square of 10cm, and a square of 4inch

These print in black ink with grainlines in red ink. You may prefer to change your print settings to "draft" to save ink.

You will need Adobe Reader to read the file and a printer to print out the pattern.
