The Kayla One Shoulder Sweater Sewing Pattern

A one shoulder drop sleeve sweater with a sleek high angled neck and optional shoulder strap. View A: Hip length with waistband finish, cuff finish to the sleeves. View B: Medium length that has a twist knot at the hemline and side seam shaping with hemmed sleeves. View C: Longer length has a twist knot at the hem line and cuffed sleeves. Please note View A has shorten/lengthen lines, View B and C are not able to be shortened or lengthened. The neck is designed to sit high on the collar line of A, B and C to allow this to be worn into the early winter months. View D is a deep scoop neckline with a neckband finish for those who do not like high necks. This neck finish is on all pieces so can be made in all Views. A fast sew.

A drop sleeve one shoulder sweater
- Relaxed slouchy fit
- Sleek angled high neckline or Scoop banded neckline

- View A (shown in black waffle knit) has a band waistline, straight side seams, sleeves finish in a cuff. Plain Front and Back. Shorten/Lengthen lines included
- View B is medium length. The medium length is shown in charcoal colour (Polyester Viscose Elastane) has contoured side seams and finishes in the twist knot front hemline. The sleeves are long length and hemmed. The pattern is not able to be shortened or lengthened
- View C is long length. The long length (shown in the white tie dye French Terry) has contoured side seams and finishes in the twist knot front hemline. View C has a sleeve cuff finish. The pattern is not able to be shortened or lengthened
- View D is the same as View A but with a deeper scoop neckline, finished with a neckband
The pattern is a multi-size pattern to fit the size range of XXS-3XL
It is designed for a relaxed fit. The neckline of A B and C is designed to sit very high on the collar line to allow this to be worn into the early winter months. If you don't like your neck covered, choose View D neckline, as this is deeper and finishes with a neckband.

Designed for winter or trans-seasonal knits.
Please purchase a knit fabric - jersey - that has at moderate to medium stretch as the garment requires this to fit properly. A minimum suggested stretch is 30%
For best results please choose stable knits with good recovery.

Construction Information is a written only PDF for intermediate to advanced sewists.

It is printable in both "No Trim Layered" US letter and A4 sizes. There is no "Trim"file available for this pattern. An A0 Size CopyShop Print File is included
Please ensure before you print that your printer settings are set to "DO NOT SCALE" (Print actual size)
Please print the page with the test square as a single print job before you send the full pdf document to the printer, with your printer settings on "do not scale". This will print a test size square which you can measure to ensure the pattern will print to the correct size. There is a square of 10cm, and a square of 4inch
These print in black ink with grainlines in red ink. You may prefer to change your print settings to "draft" to save ink.
You will need Adobe Reader to read the file and a printer to print out the pattern.
