Fabric Information:

This is a pattern designed for knit fabrics

For best results please choose medium weight knits with at least 50% horizontal stretch and minimal vertical stretch.  As this is designed to be close to the face and covering the mouth/nose it is best to choose natural breathable fabrics such as Merino wool in mid weights and Merino Nylon blends.  Other fabrics such as French Terry, Hatchi, Sweater knits and Polar Fleece or even cotton knits can be used but used at your discretion as they may not have breathability or wicking and will result in your hood being uncomfortable to wear (sweaty).  The fabric you choose may also be dependant on your end use.  There is more information on this in the sew-a-long video - also please see the "More Information" tab for further details.

Please ensure before you print that your printer settings are set to "DO NOT SCALE" (Print actual size)

Please print the page with the test square as a single print job before you send the full pdf document to the printer, with your printer settings on "do not scale". This will print a test size square which you can measure to ensure the pattern will print to the correct size. There is a square of 10cm, and a square of 4inch

These print in black ink with grainlines in red ink. You may prefer to change your print settings to "draft" to save ink.

You will need Adobe Reader to read the file and a printer to print out the pattern.
