Pattern #1714 Alternate Assassin's Hoodie
Alternate Assassin's Hoody Sewing Pattern
Difficulty: 4/5
This design is an alternate pattern to #1709 - Assassin's Hoody
The original pattern relies on fabric width - so is only able to be sewn in XS-XL
This is a re-design and is available in sizes XS - 5XL.
To the eye these garments look essentailly the same but there are subtle differences.
What are the differences?
- This pattern is longer at centre front - it finishes below crotch length
- 1714 has a sleeve variation - it is able to be made as a full length sleeve, or you can sew it at a longer length which extends down over the fingers and has a thumb opening.
- There is more flare through the side panel
- The front kangaroo pocket is sewn into the seam
The design is an easy wearing loose fit hoodie with a wide collar, your choice of standard or peaked mitre hood (shown) and draped cut away front.
Made as a pdf pattern on request for a customer from a design provided, this is able to be made in many types of stretch knit mid to heavier weight jersey fabrics - from Sweatshirting to Merino, Ponte or French Terry.
The great thing about this pattern is that it's a very easy wearing fit, a great layering piece over Jeans.
Construction instructions are included.
All seam and hem allowances are included.
The pdf is a Multi-size pattern fitting XS-5XL

Style #1714 Difficulty: - 4 / 5
This is a professionally drafted fashion industry construction pattern, which I have made and graded to industry standard guidelines.
Construction Sequence is included
Please purchase a knit fabric - jersey - that has stretch as the garment requires this to fit properly. Heavier weights are advised - such as french terry, sweatshirting, ponte or similar
This cutaway hoody is made for a loose fit, and designed to be worn loose fitting. It has a draped hemline with a front Kangaroo pocket. There are two sleeve options - a standard long sleeve, or you can choose an extended sleeve so the hand is covered and there is a thumb hole opening for winter warmth.
There are two hoods to choose from - a standard hood option, or a peaked brim hood option
Fit Information:
The pattern is a multi-size pattern to fit the size range of XS - 5XL.
Choose your size according to your widest part - measure your waist or bust - add 5cm / 2 inches and choose the size that is most close. The size guide is included in the information sheet included in the downloads when you purchase this pattern - you can see a screenshot of this page in the images here
Garment pictured is a Medium - it fits an oversize look on a NZ size 12 / US size 8. If you prefer a more tailored look go down a size. It is recommended that you check the size guide and that you sew a test garment first to check for fit.
As a guide I normally wear a NZ12 -US8 - Medium - and I feel the correct size for me is a Small. Choose your size based on the loook you want.
The length at centre front is below crotch.
