This is a block (also known as a sloper) which is used in the fashion industry to make professional patterns able to be put into factory production. Sample Size Only - Size: Bust 84cm/33in; Waist 64cm/25in
Blocks have no hem or seam allowances.
The blocks have ease allowed for wearing comfort. There is approximately 3cm or 1" ease in the bust and approx 5cm or 2" ease in waist of the block. This block covers the upper body and finishes at the natural waistline. It includes the sleeve designed for a cuffed shirt or blouse.
This shaped bodice block is the block to use when needing a relaxed fit to your bodice. It has an easier fitting style than the fitted bodice block if you are learning flat patternmaking.
Size 10 is the size fashion and design school teach from - it is equivalent to a US 4/6 and is the correct block to made a garment from if you intend putting this on a model in a runway show.

Available for purchase is a downloadable pdf document able to be immediately printed to your home printer.
It is printable in both US letter and A4 sizes. The pages are very easy to assemble simply match the letters and numbers of the grid and tape or stick glue into position before cutting out. I suggest you trace the block using a ensure a long life.
Please ensure before you print that your printer settings are set to "DO NOT SCALE" (Print actual size)
Please print the first page (page one) as a single print job before you send the full pdf document to the printer, with your printer settings on "do not scale". This will print a test size square which you can measure to ensure the pattern will print to the correct size.
These blocks print in black ink with grainlines in red ink. You may prefer to change your print settings to "draft" to save ink.
